Detailien Hives challenge to restores a severely damaged paint on new Mercedes E class -

For U create my inmost being & U knitted me in my mothers womb I am fearfully & wonderfully make
How can one man good friend became enemy

100 ways to loose a frienship.......... ranking #1.......... scratch his car

I got a very distress call

so distress that, almost requires an ambulance or a paramedic to the crime scene

how on earth one would have done this?????

closer inspection

scuffed and damaged paint work on the new Mercedez E class.....the owner want to send it to Mercedes to get it repaint immediately

I sigh....please slow down......take a deep breath and come.....90% of survivor chance is always the head matter and 10% the circustances & opportunity

over all pic

this car was opticoated couple months ago, the owner has been very careful not to send it any where or any how to be wash or polish

Action

a quick swift of cooling down the ride before washing is always good habit to prevent premature Clear coat failure.....just as mum always says cool down, wipe off your sweat before bath

a quick ANRW wash with 6 MF

POPPING up the hood to let it cool off further before surgery

upon opening the hood , we saw some issue need to be rectify

cleaning the patience before the surgery begans

firstly i need to let the hood to really cool down before working on the paint surgery, least you do not removed accesive other than what is required

2ndly good to buy some time and how can one stand this!!!!!!

more contamination

just a swipe with Alien OPTI CLean

Ta da

ta da

ta da

SURGERY BEGAN

other unaffected affected area

far left hood area near the head lamp scuffed by FINGER nails damaged (bugs & insect saps are acidic & will get stick/baked upon a hot hood if not remove immediately) later upon washing finger nails is the most convenience tools, commonly used to cleaning it

ta da damages more

after paint correction and restored

before......and please remember anything that you use on the body will create a friction

more issue

lighthen up

tada

NOW the issue

a 50%/50%

please observed the right side....before and left removed

during paint restoration very tideously

before

during

before

during paint restoration

damages before

during paint restoration

more deeper scrathed
Re: Detailien Hives challenge to restores a severely damaged paint on new Mercedes E class - 06-05-2013, 03:36 AM
more deeper scrathed

after paint restorations

far away

now

before

after

Good thing that this was ALIEN COATED and once again it stand as a testament in resisting such an abused

process - took us 4 hours, paint was gauge prior correctional work began, upon paint work restored....ALien coated re-applied once again for protection

now

WIND BACK................4 months ago

when the car first came

Holy cow! So it didn't go all the way through the clear? The 2microns of OC were enough to keep it from striking all the way through the clear? Great Job!!!

Dear kc's

Fingernails caused those scratches? Looks like a horrendous hissy fit.

You were a paint superhero on this car.

Beautiful work, nice and shiny.

I'd guess a cat slept on the car for a month.
