3 weeks ago we did a very special porsche 1st Porsche Cayman limited edition in Malaysia

Ladies & gentleman ...presenting to you...another of our detailing adventure journey together with my buddy Seech

the best ever Porsche made - one of the car every drivers would love to have.......the supercar

With the advent of the water-cooled 996, Porsche needed to find a way to continue the lineage of its motorsport-focused 964 and 993 RS models
we detail some months ago http://thedetailers.blogspot.com/200...f355-just.html

The answer was the GT3.

Built by hand away from the main 996 production line, the GT3 enabled the homologation necessary for Porsche to provide cars for a wide range of GT racing

The body is based on a modified Carrera 4 bodyshell, suspended on lowered, fully adjustable suspension and anti-roll bars, with beefier brakes and a limited-slip differential to complete the package. No traction control or stability management driver aids are fitted, with ABS being the only concession to computer-controlled driving

911 GT3. Its engineering solutions are proven on the track. And best appreciated there, too. .... is derived from the 911 GT3 Cup racing cars. Made from genuine ......

As befits the racing heritage, driving a GT3 is a raw, loud and utterly visceral experience. Every journey is an event that rewards concentrated effort to wring the best from the car

upon arrival

the beast look ok from a distance but...upon closer & under 300 watt Halogen light....unveil

Residues of dirt & grim from rain

even some visible swirls did not manage to hide before wash

closer look

water stains from rain residues

left side passenger door

a good bath for this stallion

hmmmmm 2 bucket?

where & when u encounter your limitations .....as no splashing of running water & hosing allowed in the covered car park

my solution is diluting ONR optimum no rinse wash 1 ounce to 2 gallon of water 3 caps to 8 litres of water

before..the mixtures

just 3 caps to 8 litres of water & no need a second bucket......as i left the 2nd bucket to rinse off the rims cleaning later

after ONR mixtures....blueish ...water tension now is created to hold dust below & same time washes & lubricate

rear bonnet before wash...

even visible swirls very onvious

after soaking the 1st microfibers in ONR...wipe on & buff dry with

after wash...now u can see TOGWT wax

______________ i realised some are always good in written & never seen any of his work___________________

Claying

diluting 30 ml of ONR to 500 ml of water as lube for clay .....to pick up paint surface above contamination...such as tar films, industrial fall out, tree sap, brakes residues, old waxes residue....or any dirt or adhesive residues

look at the wax residues
on the clear bra...as the owner specifically mentioned & very concern about correction without damaging, on the clear bra

this is what i pick up ...without scratching the paint

ta da

next moving on to the body...before

after clayed

more contaimination picked

moving on to the wheels

pics before

issue here how do we hose down the chemicals & residue in this covered car park?

i opt to the least aggressive method rather than corrosive chemicals approach - for health & safety reason

aggitating with Optimum power clean & brushing off with wheels brushes
sprayed ONR & wipe down with onr + microfibers

with this little help ...i managed not only to clean but also restores & protect her...later was sealed by opti seal & wax by Oc wax

ta da ...super wheels for the ride

huge huge rims for extra road holding

6 pots caliper

19" tires

this is what i gather from ONR - the residue that was retain by the water tension

remember before

Now

another pics before

now

moving on to the dirtest part of the exhaust
pics before

during aggitation OPtimum power clean as the least aggressive method

to be continue by my buddy seech...the results is astonishing
fullyb restores

Paint correction -

pics taken 3 WEEKS ago- plenty of swirls & some hologramming existed....sign of

under noon day sun

left quater back

pics before - swrils from improper washing

after trying a numerous product... it seems that Megs M105 with Lake country CCS cutting pad suits the correction..as there is lots of RIDs under the swirls...awaiting to surface when the swirls is eliminating

& Master Seech...came behind me with Optimum Polish with Megs polishing pad

& we both finishes it with Optimum Finish with LC CCs blue finishing pad

Protected with Opti seal by Seech

Optimum Car wax-ed by me

utimate shine at last, my detailing adventure will be very dull without my buddy Seech...
the good sayings goes...as iron sharpen iron, so as one man sharpens another man life

the 50/50 % pics before & after

50/50 % pics before & after

50/50 % pics before & after

finishing pics

at the C frame
pics before

after corrections

petrol cap area

after

rear 1/4 area before....very visible swrils

now

for the rest of the finishing pics i will let my buddy to show you the process

Track ready ride....

many porsche may miss this...PSM

many sales man may pushes the buyer to upgrade to BOSE sound sys....which is very entertaining but forgoing the Porsche Stability Management system....pls remind yr friends PSM is better than BOSE

wow...u may want to hmmmmmm off the air bag

the only pure & only shift gear..... only purist

another discovery...hidden compartment
he umbrella

Once an opportunity to open up presents itself then the GT3's party trick is revealed: above 5000rpm that engine screams with a finely tuned, normally aspirated howl that causes the hairs on the back of your neck to stand up

Wonderful stuff mate, I love how you break into a bit of magazine style journalism through your thread, possibly taken from Porsche extracts? It compliments your effort

Wow, very impressive work. Spectacular shine on that race car now.

I love that color too. Nice and dark to flatter your work but not all the way black. Although I own black I still think it lacks "character". That color has some character (well, it does NOW)
